THE DBUFF OTTO STERMAN OEUVRE AWARD

ACTOR JACK MONKAU GETS THE FIRST DBUFF OTTO STERMAN OEVRE AWARD

During DBUFF2017 Opening Night the first DBUFF Otto Sterman Oeuvre Award was given to  actor Jack Monkau.

Jack Monkau is one of the oldest black actors in the Netherlands. He is known for films and series such as WILDSCHUT, GOEDE TIJDEN SLECHTE TIJDEN and ONDERWEG NAAR MORGEN.

A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences

DBUFF TALENT AWARD

DBUFF called out to talented  filmmakers to submit their short film @ DBUFF2017.

The submitted films were judged by a professional jury consisting of Ray Blinker (Director), San Fu Malta (Producer), Tessa van Lier (project leader Art & Community Bijlmer Parktheater) and Shariff Nasr (Director).

The movie INDIGO by Fumilayo Koswal was awarded with the first DBUFF Talent award on Friday 3 November !! Soon more about this movie!

THE DIVERSITY TALK

DBUFF and BIJLMERPARK THEATER joined forces and organized the DiversityTalk in the BijlmerParktheater as part of DBUFF 2017. A talk show that critically reflected on – the lack of diversity in the  and entertainment industry in the Netherlands.

CASTING MASTERCLASS

On the 2nd of november the Casting Masterclass with Hollywood Top Casting Director: Tracy Twinki Byrd took place.

Tracy has worked productions like BEING MARY JANE, FRUITVALE STATION and SOUTHSIDE TITH YOU.

About 20 actors and actresses received tips & tricks … a step closer to Hollywood!
